Merge Book titles
Important Optional
Sometimes, we cannot match book titles from external platforms to those that we have in Publisher Champ, due to limitations with the way the platforms provide us with your data.
In these cases, we store this data as a separate book title, that will show as a separate record in our Bookshelf & BSR's page with an asin like: 'ACX - your-book-id'.
Books like these will count as separate titles in your book stats and your dashboard.
💡 To solve this problem, you can create a Title Alias via the Bookshelf & BSR's page for all the book title records we have for the same book. This will group/merge your book data together so that we can treat them as one book in your book stats and dashboard pages. Follow the guide below to see how to do this:
i) Edit a Book Title
Navigate to our Bookshelf & BSRs page from the sidebar
Find the book titles you want to merge/group together
Click the edit button on your chosen book's row to open the Edit Details popup
ii) Add a Title Alias
Enter an alias of your choice into the Title Alias box at the top of the popup
This will be the used in place of book title in the Book Stats and Dashboard pages
Title Aliases are case-sensitive. For successful merging, ensure aliases are spelt identically across a grouping
Click the save button at the bottom of the popup to save your changes
You should see the title aliases populated in the table rows
